January Favourites

Hello Lovelies,

I know January isn't quite over yet but I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd do my January favourites and a little update!

So recently I have been very busy rehearsing for a play at college in which I am assistant directing and am also in (but I'm only a small role) however rehearsals take up so much time, so I get home and I just fall asleep because I'm so tired! I love being a part of plays, it's so much fun and you can learn so much! I can't believe the show is so soon!!

Anyway on with my favourites...

So this month I have been absolutely loving the Ted Baker Body Scrub and Body Cream, I would highly recommend both these products as they smell Devine  and honestly work wonders!

I apologise for the awful quality of the photos, my poor phone doesn't have a great camera :/

I have been loving my new, short and healthy hair! My hair used to be so long but it was so dead and unhealthy so I decided I would need a change, a painfully short change, but I do love having my hair this length and I love how healthy it feels!

Music wise this month I have been obsessing over mainly 2 albums. For Christmas I received an iTunes voucher, with it I purchased Demi Lovato's new album Demi which I cannot even put into words how much I love it, I love how deep some of her songs are and just how relatable they are! My favourite song off this album at the moment is probably something that we're not.
I have also been addicted to Avicii's album True, this album was a fairly random but for me as I had only heard 2 of the songs off the album when I purchased it, but honestly it is such a feel good album and I absolutely love it, I can't even pick a favourite song off this album because all the songs are just too good.

These have just been a couple of things that I have discovered/loved during this month.

Let me know what you have been loving this month.

Lots of Love

My Slight Doctor Who Obsession

Hello all of Time and Space,

Today I thought I would share with you my very slight obsession with Doctor Who.

Ever since I was little I have watched Doctor Who and have stared at the screen mesmerised by how fascinating it was. When Matt Smith first made his appearance as the Doctor I really didn't like him, I wanted David Tennant back. However by about the 3rd Matt Smith episode I had fallen in love with him and it was safe to say he was 'My Doctor', yup Eleven is mine. But Clara 'Oswin' Oswald has turned my Love for Doctor Who into an extreme addiction. I literally want to be Clara!

For Christmas I got some Sonic Screwdriver earrings and a Fez and Bowtie Necklace which my Grandparents bought me from the site Etsy.com. I cannot even express to you my love for these!

These Earrings cost £15.64 can be bought from
http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/129402033/doctor-who-sonic-screwdriver-inspired?ref=sr_gallery_15&ga_search_query=Doctor+who&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=GB&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=handmade%2Fjewelry

Fez and Bowtie Necklace which costs £6.25 from  http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/100506887/11th-doctor-charm-necklace-doctor-who?ref=sr_gallery_4&ga_search_query=fez+and+bowtie+necklace&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=GB&ga_search_type=all

Jenna Louise-Coleman who plays Clara Oswald has definitely become my fashion inspiration to the extent I have had my hair cut like hers (although my hair needed cutting to that length because of how dead it was anyway, so I didn't really have much choice).

Jenna Coleman's Hair

My hair (and sneaky necklace) Jenna's looks better but ah well.
If any of you love Doctor Who as much as me then I will happily fangirl with you, but for now...

New Years Resolutions

Hello Lovelies,

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2014 is here already and that can only mean New Years Resolutions. Every year I make New Years resolutions and by about lunch time on New Years Day I've already failed. This year however I'm going to set my self some targets which I hope to not fail. Firstly I am aiming to work hard, I am aiming to take challenges, I am aiming to read a lot and to write a lot and to not give up! I am one of those people who can shy out of a challenge and put my self down but this year is going to be different, I am going to be confident and I am going to accept the challenges life offers me and I will not give up.

What are you setting as your New Years resolutions?

Christmas is nearly here!

Hello lovelies!

Hope everyone is just as excited for Christmas as I am! I just absolutely love pretty much everything about Christmas time as for me it means spending time with family, celebrating the birth of Jesus and it means lights and hot chocolates and gingerbread lattes (I haven't had one so far this year :O) and snuggling up watching films and giving presents and I just love Christmas! I have a little Christmas tree in my room and it makes me so happy and Christmassy :D.

Christmas genuinely puts me in a fantastic mood as it means a break from college work, a break from stress and a nice relaxing couple of weeks.

Although I really don't like being cold, I love that I can have my hot water bottle on me and my flask and my big warm topshop coat (my polar bear) and hat scarf and gloves, I just love wrapping up warm!

However Christmas time can mean that things I don't like happen like for example ice. I hate ice, it's invisible, it's slippy and it's always me to fall and hurt myself! Christmas time also means it's dark when I leave the house in a morning and even darker when I return which I hate because I get soooooo freaked out when I'm on my own for starters never mind when I'm on my own and its dark :'( (sad Joanna).

Anyway I hope that everyone has fabulous Christmas' and that everyone can just take a break from everything and have a beautiful new year!

Lots of love

Proverbs 31:25-26

"SHE is clothed with strength and dignity; SHE can laugh at the days to come. SHE speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on HER tongue."

Hello lovelies,

I thought today I would share with you one of my favourite Bible verses that I find so encouraging and inspirational! This verse I find gives me so much strength and cheers me up whenever I read it because so long as I have God in my life I am clothed with strength and dignity, I can laugh at the days to come and I can speak with wisdom as faithful instruction from God is on my tongue. Therefore I have nothing to worry about because God is on my side, he's by my side and he's guiding me through life and I value and appreciate that so much!

Whatever situation you may be in and whatever you may be going through read this verse then read it so it speaks to you.

YOU are clothed with strength and dignity, YOU can laugh at the days to come, YOU speak with wisdom and faithful instruction is on YOUR tongue

Now say...

I AM clothed with strength and dignity, I CAN laugh at the days to come. I SPEAK with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on MY TONGUE.

Keep smiling and stay strong

Look Up

Hello Lovelies,

So today I went into Nottingham to go shopping with my family and every time I go to town I always look up Because I find the buildings in town so fascinating. I think it's such a shame that people don't really look up and appreciate the beauty that is around them. Everyone is so focused on where they're going and they're so busy that they don't stop and look up and they have no idea what they are missing out on.
I thought I'd share with you all a couple of photos I have taken from looking up at places.

This photo is one I took looking up in the square in Siena, it's such a beautiful place and it's a shame to think some people go in there and don't look up.

This photo was also taken by me in Siena when we were wandering round.

Im aware this photo is terrible quality as it was taken on my phone but this is possibly the most beautiful building in Nottingham and so many people go into Nottingham and wouldn't even know it's there because they don't actually look at where they are.

Next time you leave your house, just look up, you'll be amazed at what you see.

The Power of Love

Hello Lovlies,

On Saturday I went to see Gabrielle Aplin and she was amazing and one of the songs she sings is called The Power of Love which got me thinking, the actual power of the love we show towards people has a massive impact and I thought I should blog about it.

When I say 'Love' I don't mean like boyfriend girlfriend relationship, I mean just Love in general, just a hello to a stranger or a comforting hug to a friend. The things we say and do in our day to day lives really impact other people wether or not we actually notice it. Most people are insecure when it comes to certain aspects of life and I know that personally for Girls in general there is so much pressure to be perfect. The idea of perfection is an unachievable thing for anyone and so I don't think it's right for people to be judged on it. When you see your friend surely it would be better to compliment them then to say something that they couldn't misinterpret into something that could hurt them. Wear love on your sleeves, smile at people and be positive because people watch you and they see how you act and if you just so much as smile then that could boost their confidence.

Love the people you are with show love to the people you aren't with, if people are gossiping about someone behind their backs then say something nice about that person show love for that person because how would you feel if that was you? I know this is possibly the most hypocritical thing to say because we all talk about people behind their backs wether or not we mean to. I also think it is important to show love to people and compliment people and build them up because you don't know a persons life or their situation or the things they may be facing and you complimenting someone could essentially change their life, for all you know someone could be severely depressed and just from you showing love to them they may not cut or try to kill themselves. Love saves lives, it is a powerful thing and we all have the ability to use it for good and the fact that most of us don't use it breaks my heart.

Also be careful with how you compliment someone because some words we use to compliment can come across as hurtful, I watched Zoe and Louise's video the other day which completely summed it all up so I will link it below because I think you should all definitely check it out. I am constantly called skinny and skinny is an offensive word, it's like calling someone fat, its offensive and there are ways of saying your compliment in a much nicer way so just think about how you could say it in a much less offensive way.

Wear love on your sleeve, smile and care.

Lots of Love
