This society, in this day and age
makes it difficult for people to start a new page.
Inflicting judgements upon peoples lives,
leading them to believe a bunch of lies.
Because apparently there’s this concept of perfection
causing society to flea from this thing called ‘imperfection’.
But who has the right to define one from the other?
Not me, not you, nor your father or your mother.
What if we looked at our ‘faults’ with love,
and stopped to realise they’re something we love,
because the most powerful thing in the world is love,
and then we could look at our reflections and be filled with LOVE.
To love oneself isn’t to be arrogant or conceited,
in fact it stands to show society has been defeated.
Because to love yourself is strong and powerful
and may be the key to being successful.
So next time you look at yourself in a reflection,
stop.
... and realise YOU'RE the definition of perfection.
