The Stage

The Stage is a beautiful place. Some stages are big, some are small, some have fancy lighting, some have no lights, some are raised, some are just on the floor, yet each and every one of them is still a stage. But I find the stage a fascinating place as it is the home of performances. Every performance takes place on a stage. The stage is a safe place for a performance. I like Shakespeares quote of "all the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." and Oscar Wilde's version "The world is a stage but the play is badly cast". I like that there is character put into the stage, and the importance of the stage. Without a stage the performers have nowhere to perform. The stage is necessary, it is a beautiful and significant part of theatre.
