A Well Overdue Post

I'M BACK!!!

I have no idea how long ago it was since I last posted but I thought it was about time I got back to blogging. I've been very busy with being an A Level student and so my subjects have been my main focus. So I thought that for todays post I would post whats been crackalakin in my life!

1) I've come to finally LOVE photography (as in the subject) as I have found that the dark room is basically my best friend and during year 13 so far, I have been able to take photos of things I am passionate about!

My friend and I decided to be creative with the Red light in the dark room and then we broke it after a few good shots... oopsyyy

I purchased this necklace off A21.ORG which is an organisation who make it their aim to abolish human trafficking in the 21st Century.

Just before christmas I went down to London with my English Lit chums and it was a perfect photo opportunity for some of these posers aha

For my photography coursework I based my project upon Ibsen's character Nora Helmer

2) I've been in my school production of The Threepenny Opera where I played the role of Mrs Peachum and a Hooker (attractive I know). It was so much fun and I really enjoyed it despite how ridiculous I looked!

3) I have been cast in Shared Experience's production of Mermaid which will be touring professionally to my local Theatre. I am so unbelievably excited about this opportunity and I can't wait for the shows to begin.

4) I had my audition for Drama School. In short I fell in love with one particular course at a drama school and applied for only that course and my audition was the other day and although it's unlikely i'll get a place this year because of my age the audition was one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done and I felt 100% at home there meaning whatever happens, I will definitely not give up on my dreams of going there.

5) I have been to see many a play recently. This past week I have seen 3 of the best plays I've seen. On Saturday I had the privilege of being able to do some workshops and hang out with Nonsuch Theatre Company and they let me sit in on their tech rehearsal for their production of Acqua Alta, it was such a brilliant experience for me due to the fact that in the future I would like to be doing what their theatre company is doing. When I went down to London for my audition I saw The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, which was INCREDIBLE and then last night I saw POSH (The film 'The Riot Club' is based upon this play) and honestly that production blew me away, it made me feel uncomfortable and disturbed but in a good way and I would probably go as far as saying that that production was my favourite to have been performed at that theatre.

6) I started a Directing course for young directors at my local theatre and this opportunity has taught me so much already and I absolutely love it!

7) My Church in Nottingham is just incredible and I feel so blessed to be a part of it and a part of their youth.

8) I CREATED A YOUTUBE CHANNEL (which I appear to be struggling to upload to due to the issue I seem to be having of my camera having more storage than my laptop... #bloggerproblems)

So there are 8 things that have been crackalakin in my life recently! Hope you have enjoyed this post, and if there is anything you would like me to blog about make sure you comment or tweet me (@joannawalton13) and let me know and I'll try and get it done. Also video suggestions would be a blessing because I don't know what to film ahah.

I hope you are all having a fantastic week and I promise to get better at this!!!

Big Love

Peace Out x
